Marty Goldstein Visit at Art Center Gallery | April 16, 2026

It was an honor hosting Marty Goldstein at the gallery on April 16, 2026. Here he is pictured with owner Todd Rubin during his visit. Moments like this are what make the gallery experience special, connecting collectors directly with the artists behind the work.

After retiring from the corporate world, Marty Goldstein introduced his limited edition bronze “Harvey Dogs” in 1995. Over nearly 30 years, these lovable and whimsical puppies have brought joy to collectors around the world. His sculptures have even played a meaningful role in healing, comforting children at the Pediatric Cancer Ward of Renown Hospital and Cottage Hospital.

Marty’s work has also been recognized in national collections, including the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library, which features his replica of President Roosevelt’s dog, Fala. His journey began in San Diego, where growing up with Irish Setters and a collection of stuffed animals sparked a lifelong love of dogs that would later define his artistic career.

Encouraged by his wife Barbara, Marty discovered sculpting after retiring from the pharmaceutical industry. What began as a class quickly turned into a passion, inspired by Barbara’s whimsical dog paintings. That inspiration evolved into the Harvey Dogs collection, now spanning more than 150 limited edition bronze sculptures.

Marty’s goal is simple. Create a piece that makes people smile. As he puts it, if his art starts someone’s day with a smile or a laugh, it has done its job. With no vet bills and no chewed furniture, Harvey Dogs have found homes across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
