Godard discovered his talent for art at an early age. The young artist used his drawing skills as a way to make new friends. He spent most of his high school and college years living in Las Vegas. He attended the University of Nevada in Las Vegas for Fine Arts and later attended The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After attending college, Godard worked as a mechanical engineer for 12 years before diving into his art career.
However, his popularity as an artist did not come easily. He had to come up with his own style- which he did while doodling on the back of piece of paper at Art Center Gallery. And drew his first olives.
During this time his daughter Paige was in a coma, he lived in the hospital. He was emotionally drained and wanted to do something to perk himself up. Thus, he was drawn to create a series of paintings in which his theme was olives. Godard brought the olives alive in his paintings and put them in humorous, and often simply interesting scenes. He painted olives using bright colors over a dark background. Some of paintings that play on this theme are Three Amigos, Olive Party, and Seven Deadly Zins. These three paintings caught the notice of the public and were the reason for his beginnings of fame and acclaim.
Because of his successes, he has been featured on several tv shows such as, “Inked,” “A&E’s Criss Angel’s Mind Freak,” “HBO’s Cat House,” “American Casino,” and many other presentation shows and visual broadcasts. His pieces can be seen in a vast network of galleries, fancy hotels, a myriad of television shows, a host of movies, various magazines, retail outlet stores, many restaurants, and the around online. His paintings are on display in the officers’ room at the Pentagon.
Influences & Inspiration
Godard’s art appeals to a lighter take on life and love. It offers enjoyment and how to have a great time through his presentations of martinis, various animated olives, many drunken grapes, fabulous dancing strawberries, and of course gambling. While his characters are unconventional, he embraces the challenge of giving personalities to inanimate objects. His pieces, such as Bat Outta Hell, are very dynamic and have a comical sense and a tiny bit of sinister element. He shows vices in a way makes them look like a twist on virtues, and because of that, many rock stars and a lot of celebrities enjoy his work from all around the world. And hang it in there homes and offices and businesses. He acknowledges his brand might not appeal to everyone, but believes humor is a universal language. “Every painting might not be for every person, but everyone, I think, loves to have a laugh,” Godard says.

He has dedicated himself to philanthropic causes through his art. He works closely with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, “The funds I help raise save lives and at the end of the day, it’s the most important thing I do,” declares Godard. In 2006, his 16 yr. old daughter passed away after her battle with brain cancer. “They were also very instrumental in my own daughter’s battle with brain cancer, so they have a very special place in my heart,” Godard says. “All the money in the world cannot bring her back, but the funds I help raise for a cure will help save another child.”
He works very closely with St Jude’s, Make a Wish, Nevada Cancer Institute and The Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Foundation “You’re not only buying something that is a work of art but that money is going to save somebody’s life” -Sharon Osbourne.
His continuing effort has driven him far beyond the canvas, bringing him closer to his goal of raising money to help win the war against cancer. My life really isn’t about my art at all,” he says. “My art is a vehicle to do something in the world that will make a difference.” Current projects are in the works making this achievement happen. Godard says, “The world is small – you can truly make an impact on everyone you meet.”
