"Sunday Afternoons"
Limited Edition Paper Giclee
“I remember that the neighbors across the street nearly every Sunday during the summer and fall would go for a drive. What made it memorable for me were the automobiles, their garage housed a 59 Blue Cadillac convertible with the large trunk wings and a white 57 Chevy Bel Air. They both would snuggle up close and drive away in the Cadillac only to return and repeat the drive again but this time around with the Chevy.” ~Fabio
Sunday Afternoons shows Marcenivo driving a turquoise convertible along the ocean with Marissa beside him, her red hair blowing in the wind. Small hearts drift through the air as the calm coastline and open sky frame the peaceful drive.
The scene reflects young love freedom and shared moments. The open road and ocean setting symbolize connection nostalgia and the simple joy of spending time together.
What the heart wants and the heart needs can be found in a Fabio Napoleoni painting. Nostalgia, sorrow and moments that lift the soul are all there for the world to see and experience along with him. The vivid colors and captivating characters invite you into an emotional ride that is welcomed by the mind and the heart. Simple landscapes set the stage to the value of emotional attachment that can be compared to no other. Influences from some of this century's greatest artists are hard to find in his pieces, but are drenched deep in the fabric of what puts a Napoleoni painting together.
