Disney "At Last, I See the Light"

Tom Matousek is a self-taught, award-winning artist originally from Cleveland, Ohio, now based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His artistic journey began in childhood, drawing cartoons and developing the ability to recreate images from memory. He gained recognition as a muralist, with his work featured in the homes of professional athletes, upscale restaurants, and at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. Matousek's distinctive style—characterized by abstract geometric, prismatic oil portraits—earned him a Shellie Award for theater set design and led to his selection as DDR Corp's Artist in Residence in 2013.

In 2016, Matousek became an officially licensed Disney fine artist, fulfilling a lifelong dream. His unique "Abstract Impressionism" approach brings a fresh perspective to Disney characters, elevating them to fine art. His work has been showcased at events like Art Basel in Miami, where BMW unveiled their i8 concept car at his exhibition. Additionally, he has participated in Disney-sponsored events supporting the Ryman Arts Foundation, which provides scholarships to young art students.
