"I was going to the Aladdin a lot and I wanted to do something with a genie, so I asked myself: If I were an olive, what would I wish for? My first wish would be for a beautiful woman, who is seen here coming out of the lamp; the second would be for a swimming pool (which is the martini glass); and the third wish, (three wishes per lamp) I left open for the viewer of the painting to complete." ~ Michael Godard
